Copywriting Tips - How To Get The Best Response From Your Ads And Your Website
"Master the skill of Copywriting and your business will flourish!" Without any doubt whatever tools and methods you use to market your online business (or off-line business really), if you do not provide decent copy in your adverts, flyers, websites, promo brochues etc. you will just be throwing money away and wasting a lot of your own valuable time, efforts and money. It is not rocket science but you DO need to know how to go about it. - When writing copy for adverts, websites, flyers etc. there are a number of key points that you must consider ... do a bit of planning before tapping away on the keyboard and it will reap its rewards.
- Winning copy 'talks' to its reader and should WRITE ABOUT THE BENEFITS to the customer of your product or service and NOT the FEATURES ... if you list feature after feature your reader will just think 'So What !'... Your wording is crucial to keep your audience interested.
- Your copy PROVIDE A SOLUTION to your reader's CURRENT PROBLEM ... either to reduce their current pain (business, personal, physical, whatever...) or to increase their pleasure (whether it be business success, an increase in health, a better lifestyle etc.).
- It is important to remember ... you get what you ask for....
An example: If you are looking to promote an online business via a Google Ad Campaign with a targeted Capture or Gateway Page and your ad copy states: 'Sign up with us for $30 a month and we will build your business for you... it could not be easier!", guess who you will get signing up ?
You will get .... Lazy, non-motivated people looking for an easy answer who are certainly not going to put any effort into their business.
Is that who you want to work with ?
You get what you ask for .. SO ASK FOR SOMETHING YOU WANT ! - When wording your copy it is essential to realise the difference between BENEFITS and FEATURES ... FEATURES TELL but BENEFITS SELL !! So which is best to put in your copy ?
